This beautiful piece of statuary commemorates the Year of the Horse in the Chinese calendar, as well as the Dead's twenty-fifth anniversary(1990 MXM), signified by the twenty-five stars and the Roman numerals on the base (GD*XXV*AD). The horse has thirteen ribs (representing the thirteen points on the GD lightning bolt) and was silver foiled, commemorating the silver anniversary. |
